Physical Education

Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have two hours of PE per week.  Students are taught in mixed ability (often single sex) groups.

In Years 10 and 11 one or both of the GCSE PE and BTEC Sport options usually runs dependant on numbers and aptitude of interested students.  Both courses involve a substantial element of theory learning.

Sixth Form students can study A level PE (OCR) or the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport Performance & Excellence (Football).

There are lots of opportunities for extra curricular sports and competitive and friendly fixtures with local schools within Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The Faculty Leader is Mr M Hawksworth, to whom all queries regarding PE at JMHS should be made.
