Students are taught French or German in Year 7 and set by ability from Year 8.  Able linguists may opt for a second language from Year 8. 

Languages are an extremely popular option for JMHS students and many students study French and German at GSCE level (AQA). 

In the Sixth Form students can study French and German (Edexcel).
