We have been a DCSF Training School since September 2004. This status recognises the exemplary work at John Masefield in the areas of staff training and development. We receive an annual grant to enhance opportunities for teacher, support and administrative staff to develop their expertise in education.

In February 2007 we were informed by the Teaching Development Agency that we have achieved Training School Status for a futher three years. Redesignation means we have £60,000 a year until March 2010 to invest in staff development and teacher training.
