The Gifted and Talented students from years 8, 9 and 10 have worked on two occasions with the artist Jon Williams, in Mr Batemans art classes, to design ceramic tiles, on the theme ‘What Inspires the Arts?’ The ceramic pieces include a fantastic range of images to answer that question, including music, english, biology, astronomy, biology, sport, food, history and art for example. The inventiveness of the imagery as well as the skills in the students making ability should be applauded. The 8 panel, ambition large scale mural decorates the exterior of the Performing Arts department.
